I'm a design engineer who works in short run/ prototyping/ low rate initial production level stuff often. I bought this thinking it was a cover for the original fob because it would be ridiculous to replicate the whole stock fob.

But that's exactly what AJT did. Everything fit perfectly, first try. The 20 year old OE gasket and buttons fit perfectly, and are supported exactly as the stock parts worked. The threads in the plastic are perfect.

Frankly I'm shocked at how well designed and executed this part is.

Also, like I said, I thought this was a cover for the OE fob, so I emailed customer service asking if there was an alternate part number that I should be looking for, and they responded within minutes explaining that I'm a doofus (but professionally).

Love AJT designs key fobs. Way better looking and much improved form factor over the factory fob. I only wish the wrangler/gladiator fob a bit more texture to it like the one for my Tacoma had.
